‘Urban Sprawl’ and the rapid, continued growth and expansion of the City of Houston has eliminated many areas that were once available for use by the horseman.

FEAR NOT FELLOW EQUESTRIANS!

Opportunities for riding still abound in the greater Houston area. There is growing awareness of the fact that we, as an urban community must set aside nature areas for conservation, recreation and flood control.

We should all strive to be sure that horses are included in planning for future recreational opportunities by attending the planning meetings and be the ‘growing the voice of the horse community’.  NOW.

Visit this spot from time to time. We shall try to keep you apprised of trail developments, and we shall try to gather information about where you may ride your horse.  And feel free to contact us at info@ghhc.com to inform the GHHC of new stables, facilities and recreational riding opportunities so we can keep this list current!
